Los Angeles Dog Agility Competition Rules and TrainerDog agility is a sport in which a trainer (called "handler" in this sport) directs a dog through an obstacle course. For those less familiar with the sport, an obstacle course is a series of challenging physical obstacles that the dog must navigate while being timed. The dog competes against other dogs for both time and accuracy records. The competing dogs must run off-leash, and must not be offered any kinds of incentives, such as food or toys. The handler will guide the dog using his voice, certain movements, and various body signals; he cannot touch either the dog or the obstacles, except by accident. Mastering dog agility requires exceptional training of the animal and of the human. As an experienced dog agility trainer in Los Angeles, I would be proud to help you bring your dog on the podium. All you need is patience and lots of practice.
